Nadu Gopal Mandal(DOB - 1st. January 1974) had stepped into Kolkata nearly twenty years back-with colorful dreams of making it big in this City of Joy.
Hailing from East Midnapore,West Bengal, India: from very poor background- it is highly commendable, that this multi talented youth walked roughest of roads, to own his own production house (Sri Sri Om Narasingha Jue Production) presently, creating a niche for himself in the Industry.
His journey started with winning tremendous accolades for directing " Megh Bhanga Roddur " at 19th Kolkata International Film Festival(2013). Carrying the good work forward -He has done number of short films,feature films,music videos and documentaries, with a few being namely-"Akash Akhono Nil", "The Nagorik","Secret Love Story",Barude Fuler Gandho", "Nosto Purush","Chena Premer Golpo","Past Present Future", "Aanchal Pe Aa" , "Sap-Ludo", "Ektu Bhalobasar Janno", "Nacho To Dekhi","Doli Uthe Se Pahele","Chawa Pawa", "Yaadein" & other films.
He considers it his good fortune and personal milestones, that actors like-Soumitra Chatterjee, Rakesh Bedi, Gita Dey, Manoj Mitra, Dipankar Dey, Biswajit Chakraborty, George Baker, Shrila Majumder, Santana Bose, Ashok Mukherjee, Moumita Gupta, Debraj Roy, Kallyan Chatterjee, Bodhisattya Majumder, Soma Chakraborty, Kharaj Mukherjee, Anamika Saha, Mousumi Saha, Bhola Tamang, Sumanta Mukherjee, Rama Guha, Joy Sengupta, Anuradha Roy, Kallyani Mondal, Diganta Bagchi, Sucheta Chakraborty, Rupanjana Mitra, Snghamitra Banerjee Partha Sarathi Deb, Raju Majumder, Partha Sarathi Chakraborty, Sumit Ganguly & others, have worked under his direction in Hindi,Bengali & Bhojpuri films. Though many have coaxed him to pursue acting career(he is just awesome) , directing a film has always remained his first love.
This looks wise unassuming multi talented person also comes up with his rare collection of own stories/scripts. His Lyrics have had many composers and singers namely-Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, Sadhana Sargam, Anuradha Paudwal, Abhijeet, Monali Thakur, Zubin Garg, Rupankar Bagchi, Anwesha Duttagupta, Monomoy Bhattacharya, June Banerjee, Jolly Mukherjee, Anik Dhar, Jojo Mukherjee, Jeneva Roy, Arup Pranay (Music Director), Kanu Bhattacharya(Music Director), Anupam Dutta (Music Director), Nilakash Roy(Music Director) & others, lending their talents for lovely creations.
Life's high waves and low ebbs failed to dampen his undying spirit of creation, as Nadu Gopal Mandal wants to again walk this earth as a director and a positive thinking human in his next birth.
He is a living example of what-grit, determination, target obsession and positive thinking can do and achieve for us if we really want it.
